August Meeting Notes

This picture I pulled from the internet and I am now using it as a desk top. You can find more pictures here. http://www.alienandufopictures.com/ufo_pictures.html

I am excited to present this video about a crash in May, South of Las Vegas in Needles, Cal., looks like the classic downed UFO, complete with military intervention and "Men in Black."

(If you had trouble with the links, I fixed it).

Here are a few stories I didn't have time to bring up in the meeting.
The 1964 Socorro UFO sighting may be recognized by the city as a historical site

We spoke a little about NASA people and Astronauts coming out on UFOs. This is about Astronauts http://frankwarren.blogspot.com/2008/08/astronauts-as-ufo-witnesses.html
and this is about the NASA Worker that said he saw the UFO on the space shuttle

I found this interesting--the Vatican now says it is OK to believe in Extraterrestrial life. http://www.livescience.com/space/ap-080513-vatican-aliens.html

Regarding the materials in the meeting, here is the 70 + radar report we saw the Larry King about http://www.mufon.com/documents/MUFONStephenvilleRadarReport.pdf

and here is an article older article on Kecksburg http://www.post-gazette.com/magazine/19980908ufo1.asp

This recent article states that 42 million of us have seen unidentified flying objects in the sky. http://blog.mlive.com/annarbornews_opinion/2008/08/eyes_on_the_sky_ufos_are_real.html

And here are a few items of weird news:

A painter, who was born without eyes--watch the video
http://xoomthetruth.blogspot.com/2008/07/seeing-is-believing.html

and ATTACK OF THE VAMPIRE BATS: 38 killed
http://edition.cnn.com/2008/HEALTH/08/08/vampire.bats.ap/index.htm
l

and a big flying piece of poop in the sky causes trouble.

After the meeting, I stopped up on the third floor of the library and grabbed a few UFO books (001.94 in the dewey decimels). This on Extraterrestrials is fascinating. It has pictures and the story of when, where and who saw the various EBEs. It's only $4 on Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/Field-Guide-Extraterrestrials-Patrick-Huyghe/dp/038078128X/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1218565739&sr=8-1

I wont be at the September meeting, heading to the West Coast for a while. I might stop by Area 51 on the way back.

Caleb
